As independence sets in, this class continues its routine and begins to learn about self-care and caring for others. Brushing their teeth and hair, getting dressed, washing hands, and potty training, to name a few. We also begin to recognize the feelings of others, sympathy, recognizing and helping our friends, and so much more. The children are becoming more self-aware and showing signs of potty training interest. When these signs are given, our staff work attentively to recognize the clues a child is ready to explore the commode and actively teach the ways of going with much excitement. This stage in life is best spent learning through play-based activities and socializing. Many are showing us the styles in which they learn. Our fabulous staff takes many notes on each child’s developmental progress and works closely with parents and guardians to set goals. Holiday parties and events are celebrated, and children have a grand love for participating in everything. The hard work put in from previous classrooms is showing as language is improved and the kids recite most everything they have retained with ease.
